mmmmm, an omelet with cinnamon and sugar toast :)
kitty helping me wrap a present for my mom's birthday
Soooooo, for some reason, the dough EXTREMELY raised when I was making pig's in a blanket lol. They were really good though :)
My dad made a DELICIOUS dinner for my mom's birthday
I made a coconut cake for my mom. I added some coconut extract to the whipped topping too-SO GOOD!

Wednesday morning when I woke up, this book was sitting on the table :D :D :D Tim is seriously awesome. I love surprises :) Thursday night, I sat down just for a SECOND to read the first few pages; and before I knew it, it was 12:30am, and I finished the book. The second book is BY FAR better than the first book. In my opinion :)
I called Tim at work after I finished the book, and let him know I'd be going somewhere on Friday to buy the last book because the second one was SO GOOD. Well, I woke up Friday morning, and low and behold, Tim bought the LAST BOOK FOR ME :D He's the best. He got serious bonus points for buying these. Not many guys know how happy surprises including books make me lol :)
I made snickerdoodles as one of the many things I did for Tim to make up for him buying me the books :) They're one of my favorite cookies too, so it worked out for me too :)
Friday night, my dad graduated from college. Long story short, my dad has a cognitive problem where he has seizures in his brain, can't remember things...etc. For some reason, no doctor has been able to diagnosis him. He lost his job (that he had for just about 20 YEARS) as a respiratory therapist quite a few years back because of it and hasn't been able to get disability/social security because no one can diagnosis what he has. He decided to go back to school to see if there was another job he could actually do as he needed to find a way to support my mom and brothers. He graduated with HIGH HONORS as a Paraprofessional. He's really wanting to help special needs children. I'm so proud of him. Pray for my dad though-somebody NEEDS to diagnosis him. Or at least someone with power needs to BELIEVE him as there's a lot of people who don't. Trust me, I've seen the change in my dad. Something's wrong.
 :)
I love my dad :)

This past weekend was pretty relaxing.

Thursday night was spent with the kitty watching something I can't remember online. She LOVES eating mozzarella cheese, and I normally sprinkle some on my popcorn. That and parmesan cheese. Yummy. The other half of the night, the kitty spent in that basket behind us in the picture filled with clean towels. That I had to rewash in the morning because apparently she doesn't know how to clean herself. Disgusting. Moving on.
Friday was spent, oh, I believe I watched tv again lol. Then we had a junk food run. It was awesome. It was also almost $20. $20 that I could have spent on other food we actually needed. Oh well. I swear this is maybe the third time we've had a full-out junk food night since we've been together; we've been together 6, almost 7 years. That's pretty darn good. I made sure to take a plant enzyme while I ate so it digested better :)
This is how I felt after watching "The Hunger Games" on Saturday. They did a relatively good job with the movie but cut out so many parts. I was pretty disappointed. But not completely. Tim agreed with me-he never read the books and said at times the movie didn't explain itself well. We were bad yet again and ordered two medium drinks (mine was water, and it was $5.10!!!!!!!!!) in order to get a free medium popcorn. Never again. That was so much wasted money. We've never done that before and both felt guilty afterwards.

Today (Sunday) will be spent doing nothing. We'll probably have turkey/cheese/guacamole quesadillas for lunch and chicken pot pie for dinner. Sounds good to me :). I can't wait until we have enough money to move. Then my posts will actually be interesting lol.

This past weekend was so relaxing. Tim and I spent all Sunday on the couch, me reading "The Hunger Games" and Tim reading "A Feast for Crows", part of the Game Of Thrones series. I was surprised at "The Hunger Games"-I guess I was expecting it to be AMAZING because of how popular it's become; and while it was good enough for me to finish it in a day, I thought it could be better.

Tim surprised me with telling me we're going to see "The Hunger Games" in theatre tomorrow though, and am I ever excited :) We're trying to save money to move, but you have to do fun things too! And funny thing, for Administrative Professional's Day yesterday, my boss gave us movie theatre coupons and an Applebee's gift card. It couldn't have been more perfect timing.

I had a really crappy day on Tuesday. I even left work earlier than normal because I just couldn't deal with it anymore. Tim was extremely supportive when I came home, even when I had a break down lol. Nothing went right that day (can anyone say period lol). I can't wait when we have enough money saved to find a city to live in with a job where I actually look forward to going to work. Anyway, when I got up on Wednesday, Tim came home from work bearing donuts. I love him. He knows just what I need.

I know you're jealous. It was good.

These pictures are all from my iPhone. Some turned out great, some are blurry. Nevertheless, it's so nice not having to drag around my Canon at all times :)
I got my April birchbox this past week. I've only tried two things out of it so far, but they're awesome. Taylor Swift's perfume smells SO GOOD, and the Alima Pure Organic Nourishing Lip Balm is SO silky. I was worried because it was tinted, but it barely changed the color of my lips. I'm not much of a lipstick person, so this is definitely something I'd purchase. I'm excited to try everything else!

Can you guess who's pizza is which? Tim LOVES meaty pizza, so we decided to make separate pizzas-his has mozzarella cheese, basil, bacon, ham, and pepperoni. Mine has peppers, zucchini, carrots, feta cheese, spinach, basil, mozzarella cheese, and I think that's it lol. It's SO GOOD.
Two of my favorite characters from Downton Abbey. I love this show.
 Kitty relaxing lol
This is truly how I look/feel after my workouts. You're not supposed to look pretty when you work out. I never have that problem :)
She took my spot lol :)
Better than sex cake. YUMMY!!!!! I got my recipe here

Ok...so now we're gonna talk about something REALLY creepy. A few weeks ago, Tim got home from work and found this bag sitting on our doorstep. There's also a pillow that was inside it. We thought it was strange but didn't really think anything of it.

WELL, last Monday, Tim was going to work and found THIS on our doorstep. AHHHHH!!! Tim works at night, so after finding this, I got to be home alone. Awesome. There was also a book on natural medicine. So creepy.
This is everything we've gotten so far. It's now in the trash. Tim's hoping to catch the person in the act and yell at them. I'm thinking of putting a note on our door that says something like, "If you're not the mailman, please don't leave bags of junk on our doorstep. We don't appreciate it." How would you handle the situation? We're hoping we don't get another bag; but considering we've received two now, I wouldn't be surprised.

I'm sure I'm not the only one creeped out.

Anyway, lol, hope everyone has a good weekend. My friend Heather is coming over today, and we're eating lots of better than sex cake, chips and dip, candy, pop...etc., and watching Downton Abbey and some other movies. YAY! I love girl's night.

Last weekend, our date night consisted of giving in to Dairy Queen cravings and watching "The Adventures of TinTin". It was so much fun :) The movie had AWESOME graphics. It's amazing how far movies have come.

Ice cream? Check. Movie? Check. A nap....check? I was gone for most of the weekend, including overnight; he said he was so happy to have me home and was so comfortable after finally eating a full meal (apparently he doesn't know how to cook when I'm gone) that he just fell asleep... :)

This past Monday, Tim and I picked up our iPhones! I'm still getting used to it, but I am definitely glad we went with the iPhone. My favorite part is we not have unlimited texting. We've never had texting in any of our plans before. It's nice knowing Tim will check to see if he's gotten any messages before he leaves work in case we need milk or something. He never used to check his voicemail, so texting is very handy...

This was taken with my phone. Awesome quality. Awesome salad too!

Strawberry Salad

10 oz spinach
1 cup strawberries, in halves
1 cup pecan halves, toasted in oven

Poppyseed Dressing:
1/3 cup cider/white vinegar
1/3 vegetable oil (I used olive oil)
1/4 cup sugar
1 T dijon mustard (I didn't have any, so I omitted it; it tasted fine)
1 t salt
1/2 t pepper
1 small onion, coarsely chopped (I used green onions)

Mix, then stir in 2 teaspoons poppy seeds. Enjoy!
The phone takes pretty crappy front camera pictures. Granted, I didn't focus this picture or anything lol. There's nothing better than nutella on strawberries. Mmmmmmmmm...
We now have an ice-cream truck in our little town...and it goes right. by. my. house. Gosh darn ice cream!
This is what we did Saturday. I LOVE The Pioneer Woman's cookbook. She's so cool. These chips? They're so-so. They're the kind you need to eat slowly in order to taste what exactly the flavor is. I won't be buying them again.

It's raining today where I live, meaning today calls for some more laying around :)
