For the past few weeks, the weather has been going back and forth between rain and snow. We've finally gotten to the point where we can see while we're backing out of our driveway, now that the mounds of snow are gone, but for some reason, the sun and warm weather just don't want to stay. We got more snow last night…so I'm wishing for summer weather.
kayaking trips
watching storms come in at the lake
going for walks while in flip flops and shorts
tank tops and spontaneous ice cream trips
walking on the beach
blueberry picking….while sweating...
strawberry picking…while sweating…and constantly swatting away roshaefers (is that how you spell it?)...
driving with the windows down
watching fireworks on the beach
trips to the lighthouse
more walks to the beach (we walk A TON in the summer)
I'm so lucky to have a guy that LOVES getting his picture taken...
trampolines!
Camping and grilling with friends!
ice cream sandwiches
golfing (not my favorite thing to do, but Tim likes it, so I've tried it a couple times. I have to say it is pretty relaxing, I just suck at it so it makes it not as fun haha-I'll get better)
farmers market!
traveling!!!! so much easier to do when it's warm out and there's not five feet of snow
everything is in bloom!
As much as I love summer and feel like I miss it as I look outside and still see snow on the rooftops, I also don't want summer to come. I hate having the temperatures any higher than 80 degrees, I hate having to blow-dry and straighten my hair when it's so hot I can barely wear clothes and then go outside and have it immediately frizz up, I hate the fact that I have rosacea so I really shouldn't be out in the sun, I hate that my air conditioning stopped working in my car, I hate how my neck gets all sweaty because I have such long hair and then the hair touching my neck gets all wet and knotted, I hate being sweaty PERIOD!, I hate having my makeup look all gross…etc….I could go on forever.
I suppose there are pros and cons for each season. No, pros and cons for summer and winter. Spring and fall are great.
What's your favorite season?
