PAX 2013

Our first day in Boston was spent at PAX-after that Heather and I split up from the guys and explored Boston, Concord, and Salem.
Showing off their three-day badges :)
Heather and I got super hungry at 10:30am....so we split a burrito. It was awesome.
This is the the line we would have been in if we hadn't purchased our tickets 5 months in advance :)
Testing out a game :) By the way, I got my camera bag from Epiphanie...it's awesome. PERFECT size for traveling-I was able to fit my camera, charger, wallet, TWO water bottles lol, and more. It still didn't feel all that heavy :)
Elder Scrolls-Tim and the guys waited over 3 hours to play this game for 20 minutes! They did get a free t-shirt, so it was worth it, right? :) They even went back the next day and played again...and since Tim is such a sweetheart, he got his second free shirt in my size :)
The one group of guys I really wanted to meet...Mega64! They have these awesome videos called GameGurlz, where they go to E3 (largest video game convention in U.S.) dressed as girls and act like how they think girls would...I guess you'd have to see it. It's really funny :)
There were lots of people dressed in costume
Heather was SUPER excited when she saw Ghost Busters walking by...so later in the day when we saw them again, she sprinted to them and we got a picture :)
Elder Scrolls had a food truck! They must have spent millions of dollars promoting their game because this isn't the only thing they did, and they were even giving this food away for FREE.
I got a grilled cheese with pesto....SO GOOD.
I LOVE how this turned out-he just turned and looked at me like this. I hurried up, grabbed my camera,  and took a picture without even looking to see what I was doing. It turned out awesome.
They had this green screen where you could get your picture done...
We are pretty awesome lol
Some crazy statues
This was, I think, the happiest I've ever seen Tim. He smiled in so many pictures :)
Energy drinks :)
Disgusting, I know....I have a thing for guys from history lol. I've actually taken pictures with a guy from the 1800s in a photo at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, a knight at Universal Studios...etc. I'm weird like that lol
We were guilty of being the greatest Boston explorers of all time :)
That night we went to this place called Papa Gino's, and it was some of the worst food I've ever had. I got a pizza that was $12...tasted worse than a Totinos pizza. Tim got a meatball sub...it was cold. Heather's fries tasted like they were pieces of metal dipped in grease. Ben and Keith were the only ones who had decent food.

Overall a fun day until the end lol

Sunday, April 14, 2013

It's Sunday night....meaning back to work tomorrow. I'm trying hard to be optimistic, so I decided some wine with strawberries would help :)

I was looking through my pictures and realized I had yet to post pictures from Rebecca's baby shower! We had her shower in January lol (Micah was born in February), but I figured I could show you some pictures from the shower :)
My beautiful sister helping (helping? or eating…) make muddy buddies for the tables :)
Our friend Jennifer is extremely crafty and created the banner! It turned out great :) That's her in the picture with my mother :)
Prizes! We did mugs filled with hot cocoa packets :) Cheap, easy, and cute :)
We had each guest write an encouraging note for Rebecca and Sam to read while they change Micah's diapers :)
My sister and grandma :)
The "pine cheesecone" lol that I made :)
Delicious blueberry and cranberry muffins, pretzels with chocolate and m&ms, and chocolate cupcakes with chocolate whipped topping. And a gummy frog on each one :)
A tea tree :) We had a whole tea and hot cocoa bar, but, of course, I don't think I took a picture of it completely done :(
Bottle game…always fun :)
Lumberjack Micah :)
This picture below I took at my sister's BRIDAL shower:
We knew we had to reenact it :)
Me, my sister, and my mom :)

It was such a fun day.

Driving to Boston

Driving to Boston (a 19 hour drive there with all the stops we made, 15 hour drive back) in a small car with five people is something I do not recommend. It is something I will never be doing again lol. We were SO sore because we just had no space to move around in. It was awful. Hopefully by the time we plan another trip with friends, we'll have bought a bigger car by then.
We stopped at Denny's for brunch...I was somewhat disappointed by this coffee since it was not full; however, it was DELICIOUS and there were free refills. BONUS.
Tim and I both drove 9 1/2 hours each there. We also drove home, about 7 1/2 hours each. It was awful.
At one of the rest stops, Heather and I decided to do a mini-workout, so here she is doing some "spiderman pushups"...
I'm doing high knees lol. We did jumping jacks, pushups, butt kicks...etc., and it was worth it-it helped me stay awake :) That, and the two cups of coffee :)
The guys got weird sitting in the back...
Tim testing out the closet?
YAY! We made it! We stayed at the Hyatt Medford. Hyatt's are the best hotels ever. They have great rooms and have AMAZING breakfasts. Seriously. Best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel.
Our room had two double beds and the pullout couch.
It felt AWESOME to sleep that night.

the morning i looked like an idiot...

The other day I had taken a shower before I went to bed and really didn't feel like blowdrying my hair. So what did I do? I looked up different ideas online for how to make your hair look great in the morning after going to bed with your hair wet. I found an idea where you put your hair in two buns.
This is me immediately after waking up. I truly didn't do anything. I just look THAT good when I wake up lol...
This is what my hair looked like! It looked like I spent a ton of time curling it! Awesome.

The curls do start to lessen throughout the day like all curls do, but I'm sure if you used hairspray, it'd hold really well. This is definitely something I'll do again.
