The last couple of weeks have consisted of eating out. A LOT.
J & S Hamburg in Traverse. THE BEST BURGER I'VE EVER HAD. period.
Needing something quick but relatively healthy...Jimmy Johns :)
Qdobas...our stop in Traverse if we're super starving and can't think of anywhere else to go :)
Chinese food from Chow's Kitchen in Manistee. So yummy.

I think we ate at like 6 more places, I just didn't take pictures :)

Long story short, we're not moving anymore. After more than $200 spent on eating out so we can put in our resumes at places in Traverse. Tim had a panic attack that lasted 1 1/2 hours last week and had been puking and been completely nerved up, couldn't sleep, eat...etc. We talked it over on Saturday for 6 HOURS lol and decided that even though now is a good time for me to move since I have a degree and already was offered two jobs, that it's not the right time for us as a couple to move. Tim wants to move once he's got his degree also so we both can have good jobs.

Moving to Traverse has been all I've thought about for the past year. It's what was getting me through awful days at work and weekends where we've had nothing to do. I looked forward to having options when we wanted to eat out, exploring, and going to all the different stores/festivals. I looked forward to living in a bigger city and having more options even for groceries when we wanted to cook an awesome meal at home. I'm being honest and Tim knows-I'm depressed. It's hard when your dream has to be put off a few more years.

BUT...I'm trying to stay positive. I'm thinking of how we're thinking smart-we have an AMAZING apartment that's super cheap compared to all the crappy places we saw within our budge in Traverse, Tim won't spend as much money on college since the college where we live is cheaper, we're not going to be leaving our support system of our family/friends....etc. I'm still sad though.

I've decided I need some hobbies. I'm planning on getting to know my camera better and how it works-I want to get out more and take gorgeous pictures. Now that we're not moving, I'm able to spend some of the money I've saved for moving on some camera equipment, which I'm very excited for :) I'd like to learn to sew. Sew what? No clue, we'll see :) I'd also like to be cooking new recipes each month. I want to be experimental in my cooking-trying new things like they make on Master Chef. I'll let you know how it goes...

Random summary of the past couple of weeks (I'll elaborate more at a later date):
Homemade berry pie. Yum. Minus all the extra juice I didn't consider lol. Next time I'll add a lot more flour. Not bad for the first time though :) And everything tastes better with Haagen-Dazs vanilla bean ice-cream :)
There's nothing better than having your hair played with for two hours. Ahhhhh...
Queen Frostine from the Candy Land float at the July 4th parade :)
My sweet nephew John having fun-they came up for the week :)
Grandma and John :)
My niece loves doritos-can you tell? "Mo? Mo? Mo?" :)
Tim had the AWESOME idea of leading our party of cars to the beach to watch the fireworks with sparklers out the window-I didn't know they would stay lit!!! It was so cool :)

Two super rich families were dueling it out on both sides of us :)
Benjamin loving the cotton candy :)

It's been a while since I've posted due to spending time with family as well as looking for jobs in Traverse City, cleaning up our apartment, packing...etc. We went this past Monday to put in some more applications; by Tuesday, I had a call back! It's definitely not my first choice of where I'd like to work, but at least it'd get us up there, and we wouldn't have to worry about money. I have an interview this Friday, so pray that God calms my nerves as I get SUPER nervous and beat red (I even got a heat rash from my last interview LOL).
