By far one of my favorite breakfasts-eggs with zucchini, yellow squash, spinach, tomatoes, and cheese; toast with avocado. YUMMO!!!
We had another Dairy Queen craving last week...

Asian salad at Pizza Hut. So good.
Having lunch with good friends. I'm sitting next to our friend Helen, who is back for a couple months from Thailand where she is a teacher. My sister's the gorgeous blonde and our friend Jennifer is next to her.

Pretty much summarizes how work went this past week.
Oh, and it's official-WE'RE MOVING!!!! As of August 1, we'll be living in Traverse City.
I. can't. wait.
We got some more ice cream tonight-I got the SAME ice cream as earlier this week, but look at the difference! I was sad. But it was still good.
We went out on the pier to talk about moving. It was nice and relaxing. And hot. I had laid out in the sun earlier in the day so I have a nasty sunburn too. And yes, I promise I shave my armpits, it just looks like I don't. :) And Tim was happy too. He just wasn't paying attention :)
So nice. Actually, I just really looked at this picture, and the pier looks DISGUSTING! Just look at the pretty water :)

After we got home, I took a COLD bath. It felt so nice on my sunburn.

Strawberry waffles with FRESH strawberries and bacon...Yummo!
I got this idea via Pinterest but tweaked it a bit because I couldn't find some of the candy.

My mom is the best part :). She's so funny.

Yesterday, my sister and I went to pick strawberries. There is seriously nothing better than just picked strawberries. The strawberries you get in the grocery store that you THINK are good? Nope, they don't even compare.
 Shoulda worn pants.
The strawberries were SO small! We each picked 8 quarts, and I think it took us over an hour. Last year when my brother and I went, we were done in 1/2 hour.
It was so disgusting! These bugs (rochafers-spelling is completely wrong; but for some reason when I look it up in Google, NOTHING regarding a bug pops up...weird) were SUPER attracted to my sister. There almost wasn't a time when there were less than four on her. EWWWW!!!

Overall, it was a good day. I love that my sister lives close to me again so that we can do fun things together :)

10 Things that made me smile today:

1. Waking up and finding lemon-filled donuts on the counter. Oh my heavens. Tim knows me too well (actually, I just get the leftovers-he technically bought them for his "lunch" lol :D).

2. Opening the fridge to make my eggs-I had asked Tim to pick up eggs before he came home-he bought me brown eggs :) There's something about brown eggs that I love. It just seems more organic. Normally we do get organic eggs; however, in the small grocery store near our house, we buy what we can afford, and that does not include their organic eggs. So cheaper brown eggs are what we buy :)

3. My breakfast. This is a GROSS picture, but it tasted so yummy! I've just recently jumped on board with all the people eating avocado on toast. It's SO GOOD! I also made eggs with red and yellow peppers (and cheese!) and had a delicious powdered lemon-filled donut :)

4. Thinking about moving. It's sad-in order to get through my day at work, all I did was think about the future and how I'll not be working there for much longer. It's so much fun planning things out :). I am a little nervous though-T.C. is more expensive than where we live right now-I'm REALLY praying that God will allow a house to come up for rent RIGHT as we start looking. I pray about that every day :)

5. Using my new Old Navy credit card for the first time at a Chinese restaurant for takeout, knowing that a $30 gift card from Old Navy/Gap is coming in the mail :) That's worth getting the credit card right there! I'm just planning on not using it after this :)

6. Planning our next vacation-granted, it's not coming until after we move, but it's still fun to think about. I'm thinking Niagara Falls in October for my birthday :) THEN we can start planning for London :)

7. Coconut oil-my hair hasn't been cut in over a year (GASP!!!)-Last time I got it cut, it was from my lower back to almost above my shoulders. I know you're supposed to get it trimmed to keep it healthy, I know, I know. I just don't want to. I want it to grow. I'm currently taking Biotin and using either coconut oil or olive oil on my hair. They make it SO soft! And I can pretend then that I don't have any split ends :)

8. SNICKERDOODLES!!! Or the thought of them at least lol. I was too lazy to make them.

9. Okay, so I just spent the last hour or so WATCHING exercise videos on youtube! HAHAHAHA!!! As if watching them could make me get in shape lol. I did do a couple of the workouts, but then decided to go make some popcorn. At least it was air popped? Don't mind the butter and cheese I put on it :) I made some juice to go with it, so at least that made it a tad bit of a healthier snack :)

10. Tomorrow, my sister and I are going strawberry picking :) I remember when we were younger, and it took us FOREVER to pick 40 quarts. My brother and I went last year, and it took us 1/2 hour to pick 20 lol. After we're done picking strawberries, we'll come back to my house and make some freezer jam. YUMMY!!! Of course we'll be indulging in strawberry jam with homemade bread too :)

I'll be sure to post pictures of our strawberry adventure :)

This is the SECOND time I've not found a fortune in my fortune cookie :( Tim says I'm supposed to write my own destiny ;)
I had a SUPER relaxing day at work today, and I left at 4:00pm. Which is totally awesome. If I could work 6am-4pm rather than my crazy, all-over-the-place shifts, I would. I got home, made chicken pot pie for dinner and STILL HAVE 5 HOURS before I go to bed :D This is a bad picture of the chicken pot pie, but it was delicious. So comforting :) And yes, that is even homemade crust :)

Alrighty, these are the last pictures of our trip. On our way home, we stopped in a random town called Salem, WI. I used my iPhone, and Siri told us told us some local pizza places, so we tried out Chubby's Pizza Shack. I'm sorry, but by this name, I was expecting something AWESOME!
While waiting for our pizza in the probably 90 degree waiting area, I read some random magazine that had this article:
I'd be interested in this website if they actually updated more. It kind of sucks right now; however, this does make me want to travel more. And it's true, you become closer when you travel.

This was our pizza-we got their specialty. It was OKAY. Tim and I thought the crust tasted like frozen pizza, which was REALLY disappointing. I suppose we're not going to like every pizza we try though :) Eating all this pizza has made me want to try making homemade sauce. I want my homemade pizza to stand out. I've done spaghetti sauce before, I think I'll just add some more spices or something. I'll let you know how it goes.
I drove ONCE on the trip-Tim wanted to drive and apparently he never gets tired lol. I drove for about an hour on the way home but had to stop to put my glasses on because my contacts were driving me crazy. Well, as I was going back on the road, our tire started sounding funny. There was a SCREW stuck in the tire! Seriously? We were a little over 100 miles away from home. Thank GOD we had a donut tire. I'm so happy Tim was there. I know how to change a tire; but when you're in a new town and it's dark, trust me, you'd want a man with you too :)
 My travel companion :)

We had such a great time on this trip, no plans, just leisurely walking around. I'm happy it confirmed our plans of where we're moving to. And we're moving soon-we decided we can't put off moving anymore, which we were doing because we kept thinking of how risky it'd be and how out of our comfort zone we'd be. We're planning on moving to Traverse City in 1 1/2 months :) Definitely nervous, but super excited to see what the future holds :)

P.S. I went to the grocery store and was going to buy some cookies but ended up deciding I'd make some Snickerdoodles at home...when I got home...I realized we had no eggs. It was a sad night lol. Tim is buying eggs tonight on his break :)

Middleton/Madison part 2

We walked around A LOT on this trip.
This is at Bloom Bake Shop. I wanted to get a more unusual flavor, so I got the Rhubarb ginger cupcake. It was okay-the frosting was very gingery, a little too much for my taste, but the cupcake was delicious. I could definitely go for another one of their cupcakes right about now!
 It was so pretty :)
We went to The Roman Candle Pizzeria for lunch-so cool. It gave off a moderny vibe but old school. I don't know, if I lived in Middleton, I'd definitely go here all the time.
This was one of their specialty pizzas. You could tell the sauce/sausage was homemade, and it tasted like they had a stone oven :). Our pizza had spicy fireworks sauce, banana peppers, sausage, and pepperoni. Everything blended together perfectly.
Charming Charlie is seriously one of my all-time favorite stores. I light up every time I see one, and Tim knows to just walk patiently with me as I look at every single possible item, lol. After this store, we always go to a store he wants :)
See? Told you. ;)
I tried custard for the first time at Michael's Custard Shop, I do believe it was called-this was marshmallow custard, which sounded AWESOME. All it ended up being was vanilla custard and marshmallow fluff, something I could have made at home. I was disappointed seeing as I paid $5 for it; however, I do LOVE custard :)
Cookies for breakfast apparently :) Tim has to eat RIGHT when he gets up lol, even if we're going to be eating breakfast in like 1/2 hour.
Okay, so Denny's sounded good again :) Their breakfasts are awesome. I don't know why, but there's something relaxing on a Saturday morning just watching people enjoy their breakfast (or lunch seeing as we ate at like 12:30pm lol), especially older couples who eat in comfortable silence.

Part 3 coming soon :)

Middleton/Madison part 1

We just recently got back from a nice little mini vacation to Middleton/Madison, WI. We had been looking to possibly move there and decided to take a vacation to check it out. Overall, these cities were nice; however, I do believe we're going back to our original choice to move-Traverse City. It was still a fun little trip-I always love spending time with Tim :)

Thank God it was a nice day. We were supposed to be on the road for 7 hours.
This was oh, about 15 minutes into Chicago rush hour traffic lol. We ended up being in traffic for 1 1/2 hours. And to make matters worse, Tim really had to pee. And we were STARVING-so starving, that afterwards, we just went to Culvers. Yes, I said it. A FAST FOOD place. And it was disgusting.
Finally out of traffic-it only put us behind a couple hours lol
There was a GORGEOUS sunset. Hot air balloons help too :)
We stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Madison. It was pretty fancy-there was a Starbucks in the lobby :) And by using Travelocity, we saved about $200 for the two nights we were there :D
I love my camera :). During this trip I used my iPhone mostly indoors and my canon for scenery.
We truly planned on eating local; however, Denny's was just calling our names. It was so yummy :)
With our stomachs full and our hearts happy, we headed out to The National Mustard Museum :D
Yes, awesome toilet seat lol, but did you see the CREEPY mannequin???
Tim's mustard is on the left-too horseradishy for me, which is surprising because there's no horseradish in it...The dill mustard on the other hand-YUMMO! The honey mustard and pretzels were for our good friends who fed our kitty while we were gone :)
 SO GOOD!

Part 2 coming soon :)
