Heather and I walked all day in Salem. I absolutely LOVED walking by this house, knowing something historic was nearby!
We came across the Old Burying Point Cemetery, where many people involved in the Salem Witch Trials were buried. Walking here gave me an eerie feeling. Ahhh, I just love history though. Seriously, I am such a history nerd. I LOVE seeing historic sites and having that feeling you get just WALKING through something historic. Being NEAR something historic. I don't care what emotion I get-happy, sad, scared-I just love it!
There is a memorial for the people who died in the witch trial. It was very depressing to be around.
I would've hated living back then. Can you imagine losing a child, sister, mother, brother, father, friend by them being hanged or pressed to death??? And not being able to do a thing about it without the fear of being killed yourself. How awful.
This was RIGHT outside the cemetery. Completely morbid. Seriously. But I've always wanted a picture like this. They should really move it to a different area though. I felt very disrespectful.
Right as we were leaving Salem, we saw this house. I can't for the life of me remember what it is. Possibly the judge of the witch trial's house??? Nevertheless, it was closed :(
Salem is SUCH an historic city. I would highly recommend going here.
