While researching Boston and the surrounding areas, we found that the Louisa May Alcott's house was less than an hour away in Concord! 

What we didn't research was the time it opened...we got there an hour early and really didn't want to waste our day just waiting. We peeked in all the windows though :) It was awesome!

While turning around on a street nearby, we came across Ralph Waldo Emerson's house :) 

Then we were on our way to Salem....first stop? The oldest candy store in America :) :) :)

I was a bit disappointed in the candy selection, but I still managed to walk away with a $40 bag of candy...
